Biography: Adam Philip Borgia
For as long as I can remember, art has been a part (arguably the largest) of who I am. I've lived in several states and regions, from California to Kentucky, and from the dry heat of Arizona to the cold and wind of Idaho and Utah.
After graduating from the Visual Arts Department at Brigham Young University in the Illustration program, I went on to study dental medicine at the University of Colorado in Denver (doctors can be artists, too). My studies have also encompassed other disciplines like history and foreign language. Rather than divide myself amongst potentially competing fields of interest, I choose to find the common ground that exists in everyday life.
My education has exposed me to a range of mediums, including gouache, acrylics and oil paints, as well as some digital. I also incorporate other methods like graphite and ink, collage and pastel. I experiment with various styles, and I have no strong preference in regards to how I work, believing instead that each solution to a given "problem" is only one of many possibilities.
